Merve's Kitchen and Bakery announced the news on Facebook.

Signage hanging at the Rock Road storefront says the new eatery is called Kokoro.

"This journey has been filled with unforgettable memories, laughter, and connections that we will cherish forever," Merve, the owner of Merve's, wrote on Facebook.

"Each one of our customers and neighbours who became friends in time, has played a vital role in our story, and we are incredibly thankful for your support and loyalty over the years. From the first days we opened our doors to the countless conversations and friendships we've built, you have made this place feel like home."

Merve added that she's transitioning to a new brand, Flying Rolling Pin, and that she will still offer custom orders.

No word yet on an opening date for Kokoro.
